Blackeye Peas with Nafis African Sauce

Hey all! We hope this post finds you well. This summer, we have a few recipes from Nafis kitchen. We first start with the earthy, savory Blackeye Peas, an African and Southern staple eaten year-round. These small portioned recipes will demonstrate how quickly you can be in and out of the kitchen with Nafis. Stay Tuned!

Quick Blackeye Peas

1/2 cup canned or precooked blackeye peas

1/2 cup of fresh or frozen spinach

1/2 cup cooked sweet potato

3 to 4 tbsp Nafis African Peanut sauce

1/4 cup water

2 cloves sliced garlic

salt and pepper to taste

(optional) Habanero pepper


Sauté garlic briefly.

Add peas, potato, and spinach.

Add water, peanut sauce, and habanero if desired.

Simmer low for 5 to 10 minutes

Add salt and pepper to taste, and Enjoy!
